LinKue Contemporary Trendz is anchored on the following five core business principles;

We take great pleasure in supporting small scale businesses around the world, in particular Africa where our inspiration stems from through living and visiting over the years. We believe the health of our partners’ business (artisans and craftspeople) plays a major role to the health of LinKue. As such, our partners always set the price for their products within the framework of the true costs of labour time, material and other related local factors at the same time ensuring their businesses operate in a sustainable way. We ensure prompt payment to all our partners.

We pride ourselves on being unique and authentic, enjoys the fact that you won’t find our products on the high street. It would be a source of pride for us though once they start appearing in the windows of the big brands, but would also be an indicator that we need to move on and uncover the next emerging talent. Everything we stock is handmade and we deal in short runs, with the great emphasis on quality not quantity.

Partners who place the same high level of importance on quality craftsmanship as we do are the ones we look for. Our entire range is handmade with love by some of the most skilled artisans who use a combination of traditional local and contemporary techniques.

We want you to know the story behind the products you buy hence LinKue will be working on showcasing our artisans and their work because we believe it is important you as our customers to know where your products come from, who made them and what materials and techniques they used.

Our partners actively consider the implications of their decisions on the environment and promote responsible stewardship of resources.

They endeavour at their best to reduce, reuse, reclaim, and recycle materials wherever possible and encourage environmentally sustainable practices throughout the entire trading chain.

LinKue Contemporary Trendz is also working on passing on best practice to our partners, whether it’s where to source more sustainable materials or how to minimise environmental impact during production.
